Dita von Teese is “obsessed” with eggcups. The 36-year-old burlesque star is so “fascinated” by the small porcelain cups, she even took photos of some while eating breakfast on a flight from Paris to
Los Angeles.
Dita then posted the images on her Twitter account, writing: “You may not all know about my egg cup fascination. I collect them, I love Victorian ones! The most elegant way to have breakfast, no?
“I love Air France for making soft boiled eggs to perfection and little toast points to go with them.”
It’s not the first time Dita has admitted to a bizarre obsession.
Earlier this year, she professed her love for dirndls – dresses traditionally worn by peasants in the Alps of Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein.
The brunette beauty – who was previously married to Marilyn Manson – wrote: ”
Yes, I really am going to wear my dirndl to the ‘Sound of Music’ fan tour. I’m obsessed. I can’t be stopped! I may throw out all my other clothes.”
Von Teese Mourns Dog

Burlesque beauty DITA VON TEESE is mourning the death of her beloved pet dog GRETA. The 16-year-old Dachshund died over the weekend (begs22Aug09) after a short battle with illness. Von Teese revealed the sad news on her Twitter.com page, writing,
“Thank you for all the concerns about my dog Greta. She passed away peacefully at home in my arms yesterday. I miss her more than I can say.”
Von Teese Hits Back At ‘Porn’ Claims

Burlesque beauty DITA VON TEESE has laughed off a series of newspaper articles which alleged she was hiding a secret past in porn – insisting she has always been honest about her past work in the adult film industry.
A series of pictures of the star performing naked under the pseudonym Bedroom Betty were published this week (beg27Jul09), with several U.K. tabloids claiming to have discovered her hidden past.
But Von Teese is adamant that she has always been open about the erotic films – and even sells them on her website.
In a sarcastic post on her Twitter.com page, she writes,
“Love how journalists ‘expose’ my ‘secret porn past.’ Yes it’s SUCH a secret! “I SELL the films on my official site.”

Burlesque dancer DITA VON TEESE is baffled by reports claiming she has been sharing secret text messages with soccer ace DAVID BECKHAM.
The 35-year-old star hit the headlines recently over claims the Los Angeles Galaxy player had gotten in touch to express his admiration for her provocative routines.
But Von Teese has denied having any private contact with Beckham and is infuriated at the false claims.
She says: “I’m friends with the Beckhams collectively as a couple, and it makes me upset that somebody would ever insinuate what they are insinuating.”

Dita Von Teese thinks sex is a great way to save money.
The burlesque dancer – who was celibate for a year after her 2006 split from ex-husband goth rocker Marilyn Manson – says people can save their cash during the current tough economic times by getting steamy between the sheets.
She said: “Let’s say I’m enjoying myself at the moment. I have suddenly become quite lecherous and it’s fun. I absolutely adore good sex. Like anyone, I think about sex a lot and let’s face it, in times like these it’s one thing you can really enjoy because it doesn’t cost a thing!”
Dita – who can famously squeeze her 23-inch waist into a 16-inch corset – likes being single because it makes her feel sexier.
She added to Fabulous magazine: “I think it’s true that the more sex you have, the more sexy you become. Plus, the more sex you get, the more you want it. I’m single and for the first time I’m enjoying that.”
The 36-year-old model also revealed that since she split from Manson her taste in men has changed dramatically.
She explained: “At the moment, I’m definitely not looking at musicians. I’m attracted to normal, sweet-looking guys in sweaters. I’m finished with the leather trousers and eyeliner types. You can have a rollercoaster ride with a nice guy in a sweater.”

Dita Von Teese has said she had a year without sex following the end of her marriage to Marilyn Manson.
The burlesque star split from Manson at the end of 2006 after five years together. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split but Manson’s close friendship with Evan Rachel Wood is believed to have been a factor in the marriage break-down.
Now Dita has revealed: “After the divorce I was going through complete heartbreak. It changes you, I spent the first year not having sex at all, which was strange as I still continued to convey sex in my work.
“After a split, a lot of men put on a band-aid by getting another woman. I wanted to deal with the break-up and learn from it and I’ve done that now.
“I wanted to come through it and be able to love again as if my heart had never been broken.”
Now though the dancer is on the look out for a new man – but knows more about what she doesn’t want than what she does: “The only thing is, at the moment I’m definitely not looking at musicians.
