International burlesque goddess and natural beauty, Dita Von Teese, made a special appearance at Dallas’ exclusive member’s only pool lounge Ku De Ta on Thursday June 7, 2012 to sip and mingle over deliciously crafted Cointreau cocktails and to kick off the launch of the summer social season. Von Teese, as brand ambassador for Cointreau liqueur, and 200 other Dallas guests gathered poolside at the summer soiree to not only showcase their cocktail chic attire but to also celebrate the birth of the original Cointreau margarita which was created by the Dallas socialite Margarita Sames in 1948.

Dita Von Teese debuted her interpretation of “cocktail chic” as she graced the red carpet in a floral print floor-length creation from her own fashion line Muse. Von Teese paired the look with Christian Louboutin heels and vintage jewelry from her own personal collection. Although she’s currently busy wrapping up her U.S. burlesque tour, Von Teese dished to Examiner.com that the capsule launch of her fashion dress collection, Muse, will be happening later this year. In addition to Muse, Dita Von Teese also hopes to introduce her lingerie collection, Von Follies, to the U.S. market sometime in the near future.

The Cointreau celebration at Ku De Ta was everything representative of glamour, chic and style. Mixologists were on hand to create the signature cocktails for the evening: the Original Margarita, the Luxe Margarita, the Cointreaupolitan, the Cointreau Lime and Soda and the Palomita. Dita Von Teese gushed over her affinity for the Original Margarita to Examiner.com due to its great refreshing taste and simplicity of preparation.

As guests sipped on one of the Cointreau creations, they were invited to enjoy a synchronized swimming performance by the Aqualillies. The Aqualillies were donned in swimming attire reminiscent of the 1940′s and 1950′s which was a perfect compliment to the style and aura of the beautiful Dita Von Teese.

Despite the thunderstorms and showers that preceded the event, the Cointreau poolside soiree undoubtedly went off without a hitch and kicked off the Dallas social summer season with a bang. Cointreau is proudly making its way to 25 various bars and restaurants in the Dallas area with more scheduled events to take place at Hotel Zaza on Saturday, June 15, Primo’s on Tuesday, June 19, and Chimy’s Fort Worth on Friday, June 22. Additional parties will take place throughout the summer and will be announced soon.

After the conclusion of the event, Dallas residents were left realizing that Cointreau is more than just a liqueur, it’s a lifestyle.
