Dita von Teese is “obsessed” with eggcups. The 36-year-old burlesque star is so “fascinated” by the small porcelain cups, she even took photos of some while eating breakfast on a flight from Paris to
Los Angeles.

Dita then posted the images on her Twitter account, writing: “You may not all know about my egg cup fascination. I collect them, I love Victorian ones! The most elegant way to have breakfast, no?

“I love Air France for making soft boiled eggs to perfection and little toast points to go with them.”

It’s not the first time Dita has admitted to a bizarre obsession.

Earlier this year, she professed her love for dirndls – dresses traditionally worn by peasants in the Alps of Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein.

The brunette beauty – who was previously married to Marilyn Manson – wrote: ”

Yes, I really am going to wear my dirndl to the ‘Sound of Music’ fan tour. I’m obsessed. I can’t be stopped! I may throw out all my other clothes.”

Burlesque beauty DITA VON TEESE is mourning the death of her beloved pet dog GRETA. The 16-year-old Dachshund died over the weekend (begs22Aug09) after a short battle with illness. Von Teese revealed the sad news on her Twitter.com page, writing,

“Thank you for all the concerns about my dog Greta. She passed away peacefully at home in my arms yesterday. I miss her more than I can say.”

Burlesque beauty DITA VON TEESE has laughed off a series of newspaper articles which alleged she was hiding a secret past in porn – insisting she has always been honest about her past work in the adult film industry.
A series of pictures of the star performing naked under the pseudonym Bedroom Betty were published this week (beg27Jul09), with several U.K. tabloids claiming to have discovered her hidden past.
But Von Teese is adamant that she has always been open about the erotic films – and even sells them on her website.
In a sarcastic post on her Twitter.com page, she writes,

“Love how journalists ‘expose’ my ‘secret porn past.’ Yes it’s SUCH a secret! “I SELL the films on my official site.”

Dita Von Teese has expressed her shock after landing a lowly 20th position in the Eurovision Song Contest on May 16. The Queen of Burlesque, who shared the stage with Germany’s Alex Swings Oscar Sings, was left facing disappointment after she failed to grab the top spot in the competition that saw participation of 25 countries.

And the 36-year-old artist was now having a hard time believing who bagged the top positions. “Stunned & amazed that the best performances were nowhere near the top rankings! Denmark, Ukraine, Estonia? All great shows and songs. Shocking!” the Daily Star quoted her as saying on her Twitter page.

Norway’s Alexander Rybak bagged the Eurovision crown with a record 387 points, followed by Iceland and Azerbaijan, while Turkey and the U.K. wrapped up the top five.

Burlesque dancer DITA VON TEESE is baffled by reports claiming she has been sharing secret text messages with soccer ace DAVID BECKHAM.

The 35-year-old star hit the headlines recently over claims the Los Angeles Galaxy player had gotten in touch to express his admiration for her provocative routines.

But Von Teese has denied having any private contact with Beckham and is infuriated at the false claims.

She says: “I’m friends with the Beckhams collectively as a couple, and it makes me upset that somebody would ever insinuate what they are insinuating.”

Burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese has revealed that she will forever be grateful to her tattoo artist for rejecting a design she had come up with for her face. Von Teese, 36, had Wanted to have a star tattooed on her left cheek, but the parlour employees refused and instead agreed to give her a beauty spot in its place.

“You have to understand I was pretty eccentric. I was always drawing hearts and stars in that spot. I went in thinking I Wanted a star there, but they wouldn’t do it,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying. “They were the voice of reason. They were so right,” she added.

Dita Von Teese has said that the Pussycat Dolls were right to move into music because they were never a genuine burlesque act.

The model and dancer told Inked that she had done a number of shows with the group in the past but added that she had some legal issues with their creator.

Von Teese said: “I think it’s really great they decided to become a pop group and they’ve left the pseudo-burlesque alone.

“It drives me crazy when the media or groups like the Pussycat Dolls try to sanitise and take away the sexual and nudity aspects of burlesque.”

She added: “I’m sorry, but if you’re not up there taking your clothes off and dancing around in pasties and a G-string, it’s not burlesque.

“It can be cabaret, or it can be cute and funny and retro-showgirly, but it’s not burlesque. They were strippers, and that’s the way it was.”

Dita Von Teese has dismissed her ex-husband Marilyn Manson’s attempts to apologise to her.

She told Inked magazine: “The apologies come, and he was like, ‘I made a big mistake’, and I’m like, ‘Yeah, yeah, I know, go ahead and say what you need to say to feel better and to sleep at night.’ ”

The burlesque performer filed for divorce in December 2006 after once year of marriage to the goth rocker.

Dita reportedly had to send the divorce papers to Marilyn’s recording studio where he had been spending all his time working on his latest album with his muse, 21-year-old Evan Rachel Wood, and had failed to notice his wife had left him. Marilyn – real name Brian Warner – then began dating Evan.

Dita revealed she had long moved on. “Right now I’ve got three guys. They’re all in different parts of the world… that’s my biggest sin juggling men,” she said.

Marilyn and Evan have since split up but sparked rumours they had rekindled the romance last month when they were reportedly seen leaving Los Angeles’ W Hotel the morning before the Oscars on Sunday, hours before Evan walked the red carpet alone.

A passer-by told The New York Post Marilyn said he “was waiting for his girlfriend” before they got into an awaiting car together.
