Dita Von Teese ‘rarely’ performs her cowgirl routine while touring because the mechanical bull she uses is too expensive to ship.
The model is best known for her striking burlesque routines and is frequently dubbed ‘the Queen of Burlesque’ in the press.
Dita, who sports a unique vintage appearance, usually performs long, elaborate dance shows with props and characters, which are often inspired by 1930s and 1940s musicals and films.
The raven-haired beauty responded to a fan’s question on social networking site Twitter recently, when asked if she performs her ‘cowgirl routine’ on a regular basis.
‘Rarely; It’s a real mechanical bull, VERY $ to ship (sic)!’ she replied.
Dita’s burlesque career has included some memorable and impressive performances including one appearance at a benefit for the New York Academy of Art , where she wore nothing but $5 million worth of diamonds.

It seems that burlesque star Dita Von Teese will finally materialize the dream of creating her own fragrance. After being rejected by a major perfume company, glamorous Dita confirmed the rumours on Twitter saying that she is working with perfumers in France. Well, we hardly wait for the scent to be released which is announced as being sensual rather than candy sweet!
Dita Von Teese is working on her own fragrance. The 38-year-old burlesque beauty wrote on Twitter about the fact that she is currently working with perfumers in the French countryside, therefore confirming the already existing rumours. “Isolated at a chateau in the French countryside w/my perfumers,” Von Teese tweeted.
Even though there are no news whatsoever on the possible date of release, sexy Dita gave us a hint on the scent, so that we get ready for something really seductive and bold. “No fruit, no vanilla, no candy!! Velvet sensuality w/a dash of vulgarity! I want to evoke passion with fragrance….intense love/lust and distaste/fear rather than merely popular acceptance.”
Dita Von Teese has proved a special creativity and innovation spirit throughout her entire career and she refused to give up on her dreams. After being rejected in December by a major global perfume company because she isn’t as famous as other celebrities, Von Teese kept on fighting in order to launch a signature fragrance.
She told WWD that “What I really want to do is make my own fragrance. I don’t want to smell like anyone else. I have to talk to the smaller companies, because the bigger ones, like Coty, are like ‘Well, not everyone knows your name, like the Kardashians or Victoria Beckham.”
Dita wants to share her beauty secrets in a do-it-yourself beauty and style guide book coming out this year. The glamorous star told WWD that a woman can look fabulous without an entire team taking care of her. “I don’t go to the salon when I need to color my hair, I pull out my box of hair dye. I want women to understand that you don’t have to have the glam squad to put you together,” she said.
She also thinks of launching a makeup line. “I want to do my own makeup line, because I feel like things are missing in the world . . . I’m constantly trying to mix up colors. Also, I mix my own body makeup. I love the idea of beautiful packaging for cosmetics.”

Dita Von Teese has revealed that her “offensive cleavage” was censored during an upcoming episode of ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’.
According to the Daily Mail, Von Teese, 38, was forced to “take it down a notch” when playing a teacher who moonlights as a striptease artist named Rita Von Squeeze on the CBS show.
“There was a lot of network talk about my ‘offensive cleavage’,” the New York Daily News quoted Von Teese as telling TV Guide. The busty actress said she found the complaints “interesting considering how much blood and gore there is” on ‘CSI’.

How’s this for a major CSI, um, teese: Burlesque beauty and international style icon Dita Von Teese is set to guest-star in an early 2011 episode, sources confirm to me exclusively.
The occasional actress will play a classic Hollywood femme fatale in a throwback to “the glory days of L.A. film noir,” explains exec producer Carol Mendelsohn. “Her character is absolutely unlike what she seems. Prepare to be tantalized and tormented.”
Mendelsohn adds that the case “will get personal” for Eric Szmanda’s Sanders—which makes sense since Szmanda and Von Teese are pals off screen.
Von Teese’s episode is tentatively scheduled to air in January.

Dita Von Teese is guest starring at the MGM Grand for their ‘Crazy Horse Paris’ cabaret show for the next week and spoke about being apart of the show and said that she was a half-inch too short to have been a Crazy Horse girl.
“Yes, I am going topless. I know everybody wants to know that from the start. I don’t have any problem with that. I’m undressed — what else would I be doing here? Giving a speech? Well, I could always undress while doing that!”
“I’ve been going to see it ever since the first time I ever went to Paris. That feels like even before the Internet. I went to Paris and just kept asking, ‘Where’s the place with the girls onstage dressed as naked toy soldiers?’ Finally somebody sent me to Crazy Horse.”
