Dita Von Teese insists her “natural look” takes “a lot” of make-up.

The burlesque beauty is famed for her ever-glamorous vintage aesthetic.

Dita likes to dress down for Halloween, and has worn a blonde wig, fake tan and jeans in the past. The stunning star loves fading into the background at times and says her make-up artist is her secret weapon when it comes to transforming.

“I’ve [dressed up] a few times and no one ever recognises me,” she revealed in an interview with the British edition of OK! magazine.”A few years ago, I was at this club in my jeans, tan, blonde hair and beige nails and this couple were dressed as me and my ex-husband. It was so funny. I met them and they had no idea it was me!

“My friend Gregory does my make-up every year. He loves doing the transformation with all the shading – it’s a lot of make-up to get that natural look, I have to say!”

Dita has a very distinct style. The raven-haired beauty also likes a man to dress a particular way.

“I don’t like guys to wear too much jewellery or wear weird clothes,” she explained.

“I like really classic, well-dressed masculine style. I don’t like anything rock ‘n’ roll or crazy.”

When broaching the subject of ex-husband Marilyn Manson – who is famed for his eccentrically gothic style – Dita dismissed such preference.

“That was a different story!” she quipped. “I like guys who dress like guys.”

On Thursday, June 23, celebrities came together for the amfAR Inspiration Gala, this time in Paris, France. The gala was held at the Pavillon Gabriel with a guest list that included Diane Kruger, Dita Von Teese, Marc Jacobs, Fergie, Max Irons, and Emily Browning.

Dita was her usual, impeccably styled self in a midnight blue asymmetrical neckline gown by Hervé L. Leroux. And, like she normally does, Dita made sure all the details of her attire were just as perfect, from her curls, to her Louboutin clutch and heels, to her jewelry by Erickson Beamon and Cartier.

But Dita Von Teese transitioned into a different role as she made her acting début in an upcoming episode of popular crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

The 38-year-old model and dancer stares as Ellen Whitebridge, an attractive school teacher with a fascination with forensics in the episode entitled A Kiss Before Frying.

Wearing a casual trench coat and without her usual dramatic make up the actress looks almost unrecognisable when she initially appears in the episode as a demure and shy school teacher.

After receiving a tour of the Crime Scene Lab she takes a liking to Investigator Greg Sanders, played by Eric Szmanda.

As the pair become romantic, Greg is attempting to unravel the mystery behind a man who dies by electrocution.

Meanwhile, the stunning educator had more to her than meets the eye with a second job moonlighting as a burlesque performer named Rita Von Squeeze.

The star also plays her murdered grandmother Agnes La Plouffe in several flashbacks throughout the episode.

When discussing the on screen relationship with the beautiful actress Eric revealed that he took a major liking to the striking brunette.

‘I was in love with her the minute I met her,’ said the actor blushing.

The 35-year-old added: ‘We’re going to try shooting a kiss, and we’ll see if it makes the cut.

‘But there is an intimate encounter. I’m excited fans will finally delve into Greg’s mysterious private world. This is by far the biggest episode I’ve ever had.’

This episode airs on January 20, 2011 on CBS.
